Time: What Decisions Become

Power settles into commitments, routines, rules, technologies, and institutions.

Time changes the conditions around them while often leaving their forms intact. A key outlives the lock it was cut for. A faster process moves judgment upstream before anyone notices where it went. A pencil line still waits before the cut begins.

Structures persist more readily than reasons. Speed does not remove judgment; it relocates it. Commitment makes coordinated action possible—and becomes dangerous when revision is treated as betrayal.
